Frequently Asked Questions

  • No you do not need a referral from your GP to see an Osteopath. However, you do require a referral if you are intending to claim a Medicare rebate under an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC).

  • Yes we do. Most major health funds offer rebates for Osteopathy under their Extras cover. We are able to process your rebate on the spot through our HICAPS machine. The rebate varies depending on your cover, so it is best to contact your insurer prior to visiting.

  • We are a mixed billing clinic, meaning we accept Enhance Primary Care Plans (EPC), however we do not bulk bill. You will be required to pay the standard consult fee, after which you will then be rebated the $61.80 into your account instantly through our HICAPS machine. 


  • At your first appointment your Osteopath will undertake a thorough case history, they will then conduct a physical examination after which they will develop a tailored treatment plan specific to your needs and goals. This treatment plan will consist of manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue massage, joint articulation, gentle stretching and adjustments if necessary and agreed upon. You will also be prescribed home exercises, lifestyle advice and other general recommendations to address your specific needs.

  • Please complete our ‘New Patient’ form that will be emailed to you prior to your appointment. Please bring in any relevant scans or documents that may assist your practitioner. Wear loose fitting clothing or something that you can move freely in. Feel free to contact the clinic before your appointment with any questions about your first appointment. 

  • Osteopaths in Australia have a minimum of 4-5 years of accredited training at University. They are also registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Nathan graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) with Distinction, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Human Structure and Function from The University of Melbourne. Nathan is also a member of Osteopathy Australia. 

  • An initial consultation is $110 and any subsequent visits are $95. If you are after an extended consultation they are $120.

  • Your initial consultation is up to 45 mins. Subsequent/return visits are up to 30 mins. We also offer extended consultations up to 45 mins.
